1 John 2:1-6
In this corner the father of gluttony, selfishness and worldliness SIN. And in this corner the price of peace, JESUS. We should not sin but when we do Jesus is our advocate before the Father. Jesus is the one that defends us as the atoning sacrifice. His sinlessnes qualifies Him to be our atoning sacrifice or propitiation, the defender for you and I. Gods character demands a pure and sinless sacrifice in order to be in His presence and Jesus fulfilled that for us.
Those who would enjoy fellowship with God must follow in the love, holiness, and service that characterized Christ.
